Chapter 16 Ghosts and Fairies

The day before Jessi's birthday, Leviticus came over I wasn't sure why but by the look on his face I could tell I wasn't going to be happy about. He produced a bottled exilir, "This is for Jessi, for her birthday," he said handing it over.
I took it in my hands unsure, "What is it?" I questioned.
"A bottled blessing of the fae, it'll turn her into a fairy," he explained.
I passed it back to him, "Absolutely not, Jessi does not need that, she's going to live a happy mortal life." Leviticus sighed, "Why because Jessie would have wanted her to? Mema you can't push your dreams and his dreams onto her. She doesn't want a normal life, so why are you forcing her?" Leviticus ended up leaving it on the table. His words hurt because I knew after all he was right, yet I still didn't want her to have it. When Jessi's birthday did come, I couldn't be more proud.

It was then I decided that she had a right to live the life she wanted, a right I was deprived off. Naturally Jessi was ecstatic and drank it as soon as she received it.

A few seconds later she was the proud owner of blue wings.
"I look like a bumblebee," she complained when she saw them.

I tried to hold back a giggle, "Be careful what you wish for," was all I said.
Regardless Jessi was still pretty happy and nothing could really dampen that. The next day we all attended her graduation and Jessi was voted Most Likely to Take Over the World, with her determination she probably could.

She moved out the next day I had no idea where she was going, but according to her their was a whole world out there.

Our other fairy in the house was causing all sorts of mischief, she rather liked playing fairy tricks on a unsuspecting Alexandra.

There wasn't a whole lot I could do about it because Aria didn't listen to me at all. However it didn't affect their relationship badly as Alexander and Alexandra both agreed to take her out trick or treating.

Although I think it was more to do with the fact she wouldn't leave them alone if they didn't. My pregnancy began to show and this was meet by a phone call from Leviticus.

I knew he had settled down with a girl Bianca Crumplebottom who was witch but his news shocked me, they had had a daughter. It didn't make sense vampires couldn't have children, except by me. However Salavador the guildmaster of the guild of witches guessed that like Alexander who could turn at will, the effects of the curse weren't as strong on my children. I hurried over to see Venus Crumplebottom my first grandchild.

It made me feel older than I should, however she had inherited her father's vampire genes. Everyone was waiting with baited breathes to see how she would turn out, a witch and a vampire breeding should never have worked so their offspring had the potential to answer a lot of questions. I had to admit I felt sorry for the little girl, but with Leviticus as a father I knew she'd turn out alright.
Alexandra was the only human child in the house at the moment and I think it made it hard for her. Most of the kids except for Alexander thought it was funny to use their tricks on her, including Carlos.

Ash decided he wanted to try out a new spell on an unwilling Alexandra the effect was not expected she turned into a toad.

She ended up spending all night looking for someone to cure it and when she finally did she ended being brought home by the police.

I was furious until of course she told me why, in which case I decided to let it go.

She had developed a hobby of windsurfing however and I had taught her and Alexander to drive.

Ash was doing well at the Guild of Witches, apparently far surpassing the other students and had been rewarded a new wand.

Eventually I was ready to give birth again and I welcomed my second lot of twins into the world a little boy called Jasper and a little ghost boy called Casper.

A few months after they had been born Leviticus called saying that a new vampire had moved into town a good one that I might be interested in meeting. I'll admit I didn’t like the idea of my son matchmaking but I guess I preferred it to getting a call from Luciano or Vincenzo who I couldn't even think about without blushing. I went over and introduced myself to him, his name was Desmond and to my surprise he was actually friendly it could have been an act of course but I decided to trust it.

I didn’t want to live the rest of my life with vampire trust issues. Of course as usual one thing led to another.

Jasper and Casper aged up into toddlers, I had a really worry that they were both going to be little terrors.

Chapter 15 Magic Tricks

Ash aged up into a teenager, something I was meant to be excited about but somehow worried me.

Once they were thirteen the Guild of Witches allowed them to start practicing proper magic instead of just studying the theory and I had every right to be worried.  Ash never seemed to be not practicing his magic, apparently it was homework.

However I wasn't so sure how to feel when I walk into the dining room to find a big black cloud.

Ash assured me it was just a simple conversion spell. If that wasn't often he decided to conjure an apple which didn't work out to well because it was poisoned.

He left it on the table and to what should have been noone's surprise Alexander decided to eat it. I was fuming to say the least Ash assured me it would only put him to sleep for a couple of hours but I put my foot down.

Ash could only practice his magic out in the studio, where it couldn't harm anyone. Well he didn't take the couldn't harm anyone seriously he set some poor man on fire because he looked at him funny.

Then he spotted someone from the press snooping around our house and swimming in the pool, next thing I knew she was an ice block literally.

After that event I'd had enough, I called Salavador who promised me he would make sure Ash understood such actions were inexcusable. It seemed to work Ash tried not to do anything bad so in reward I taught him to drive, which was honestly not necessary as he preferred his broomstick.

Aria was a darling, although one night she completely disappeared and I walked outside to find her in a fairy house in the back yard.

It wasn't long after that, that she aged into a child.

My daughter was beautiful but I also realized it was about time I got pregnant again. I didn't know where to start, this part always felt weird. I walked past a strange orange man and had to do a double take it was a ghost?

I just never thought they wandered around. "Is there anything I can do for you?" he asked me.
"Oh um no I'm sorry its just you’re a ghost," I stated.
The man laughed, "Logan Bliss (by AmberKotori)," he introduced himself, holding out his hand.
I took it and was surprised it didn't go through, "Larnika Butler and I can touch you," I commented.

The man laughed again, "If you are who you say you are you must realize some ghosts can have physical interaction." I nodded I had been told that but I never thought it was true, I mean who even decided.
"So how'd you die, if you don't mind me asking?" I questioned after recovering from the shock.
"Meteor, girlfriend was a witch," he explained.
"She killed you?" I asked in disbelief, nobody could talk that casually about it. "Fraid so, cheated on her with another witch that's why I can interact with you. She cast a spell," he told me.
I couldn't understand why he would talk so openly about it, "I assume your with her then," I said ruling him out for man for my next father.
He laughed, "No left her." I hesitated this guy obviously wasn't that good of a person but then again neither was Luciano and look how Leviticus turned out.
"Do you want to go to dinner with me?" I offered, making a snap decision

"Sure," he agreed.
We meet at the club and got straight to business unfortunately it had rather bad consequences for me.

I was transformed into a tragic clown, apparently it was very common when you traveled in a LLAMA.

As soon as I could home, Jessi went straight to work for a cure but her way of applying it was so pleasant she threw it at me.

However it did the trick and I swore to myself I would never travel in a LLAMA again or woohoo for that matter.

Alexandra and Alexander aged up into teenagers, I wasn't entirely sure how I was going to deal with four teenagers in the house.

Brent had married Wilhelma Wolff and officially become part of the Wolff pack which was good news for Alexander as it meant his father would be able to teach him the tools of the trade so to speak. Alexandra had no interest in her father and I wasn't totally convinced he was that interested in her. However it didn't affect her and as always life went on, the signs of my pregnancy began to show.
